Made up of two micro-plots totalling only two “ouvrées”, our Montrachet is a gift from nature. (An “ouvrée” is about 4.28 acres, corresponding to the area supposedly ploughed by a farmer in one day in the Middle Ages.) Ideally facing south and planted in the 1920s on stony soil, the climate produces tiny berries bursting with flavour.
